We are having free demo day every other Wednesday at the shop this summer. It is way fun. I am doing two of the demos so I have been super busy trying to make step by step pieces for the demos as well as finished projects. ( Or at least tops). The topics are not published ahead of time so I can't tell you more just yet.
I have been trying to get some small quilts quilted on the frame. I have a little pile to finish up. They are quilted but not trimmed or bound yet. I will get to those soon and take some pictures.
I did finish this wool project. I know, not summery, but I will be ready for fall. LOL.
I think that I mentioned that I am doing a BOM at a LQS, (not the one I work at) it is wool applique on a cotton. Here is the first block. From here on out we will be doing 2 blocks a month. I have the next two cut out and ready to fuse and stitch.
If anyone can relate to losing things, I'm that one! Your applique is beautiful, both pieces. Be proud of them! ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteBoth of your projects are lovely. I especially like the BOM. As far as misplacing stuff goes, let me say that some of my things end up in very strange places.

I love wool and the block and mat are wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteDH & I are aways looking for things! Hee Hee! Love both projects! I really want to do some wool applique and have made one pincushion, but haven't gotten much farther than that.
ReplyDeleteBeth..I like your wool applique projects...and every time I see wool applique I want to get some supplies and make something! I am constantly looking for stuff...since I reorganized....and even before that!!!
ReplyDeleteI lose things all the time, too. Sometimes it's the cats fault, but mostly it's just me being spacey, er, busy! The projects are cute and I'm looking forward to when you can reveal the projects you're teaching at the quilt shop.
ReplyDeleteI've always been intrigued to try wool applique. Your's are beautiful. I've just decided that I need to have at least two of everything quiting related. It cuts the amount of time I spend looking for things I just had in half.
ReplyDeleteLove both pieces;) Loosing things....try keeping track of all the stuff you just threw in boxes to get packed without writing down what is inside!!! And you all thought i was organized;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Quilting!!
Very cute projects, I have to try working with wool someday.
ReplyDeleteTake some tme out to watch Tom Rush sing the Remember Song on youtube. Priceless! Good looking projects - how do you find sewing the wool? Do you find that is stretches? Ann :-)
